The Phil's Heart & Soul Charity Concert 2013 Promo - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 09, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Celebrating unforgettable eras in music, the Choir of The Philharmonic Society of Selangor presents Heart & Soul 2013, a series of charity concerts that showcases well-loved classics and jaunty medley of themes.

Be swept-up in the heady romanticism of Gershwin, the lingering sweetness of moon-themed songs, the nostalgia of P. Ramlee and dance away to toe-tapping songs by legends such as Cliff Richard, Tom Jones and more.

Led by Choir Director Cheryl Teh, accompanied by live band led by Nish Tham with over 100 performers on stage, we know these well-loved tunes will uplift the heart and soothe the soul.

Probably the oldest music society in Malaysia, The Philharmonic Society of Selangor was founded in 1958. The choir is the most active arm of the society and to date has staged more than 50 productions ranging from classical to contemporary. A stand-out feature about this choir is that it is a non-auditioned community choir, made up entirely of volunteers who come from all walks of life, aspiring towards building a community in harmony.
