This week we are thrilled to present an exciting and truly unique performance by two absolute master improvisers. When I was first designing this series I approached my friend, John Moulder, about being one of the featured artists. John is an astounding guitar virtuoso and I knew that anything he brought to our stage would be a joyous addition. I told him about the intimate nature of the space and our attempt to bring a "house-concert" feel to the performances. He told me about having recently appeared on a live radio program where he played "unplugged" and was joined by the legendary percussionist Paul Wertico simply playing on a tabletop (Paul was Pat Metheny's drummer from 1983-2001, and is a seven-time Grammy winner). I asked John if he and Paul would be willing to create a similar performance for us at the Whiskey Lounge. Actually, I begged. It worked.
