Paul McMahon, a member of the Pictures Generation that included Cindy Sherman, Robert Longo, David Salle, among others, introduced new imagery and modes of art -making in the early 80's. This included performances in clubs, lofts and in the streets of New York. Like Alan Vega, an artist of Suicide fame, Paul also turned to music and joined a whole host of artists and performers that worked outside the conventional art world in SOHO.
