This song is based on the true story of a Black Man "Otis Bird" who was found hanging from a tree in Claiborne County, Mississippi. Investigation is on going. My thoughts are also about all the black men and women who were hanged throughout the USA. Thought about the whites who were hung if they had any sympathies with Blacks.
