Dyed in Grey - Bogner Ecstacy Red pedal demo - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 28, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Here is a quick demo of the new Bogner Ecstasy Red pedal modeled after the red channel of the famed Ecstasy amp. The pedal is packed with tons of features and covers everything from a subtle overdrive boost to all out, in your face high gain.

The setup is an Egnater Renegade head into a Bogner 1x12 cab close mic'd with a Shure SM-57 into an Apogee Duet 2 into my iMac running Logic Pro.

The first few examples feature a Vinetto Artifact which is an incredible custom made early 50's Tele style guitar. I recently picked it up in the last few months and its got to be the best Tele I've ever played. The Ecstasy Red works great for overdrive boosting with the volume up high and gain set low.

The last 2 clips feature a Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Singlecut with a rosewood neck. This guitar features the stock PRS humbuckers which sound great. In the first clip, the gain is set higher and into the clean channel of the Egnater. The second clip shows some lead sound possibilities using the gain channel of the Egnater with the Ecstasy pedal as a boost. The delay was added afterwards in Logic.

Overall, I'm really impressed with it and I hope this video gives an idea of some of its sonic capabilities.
