Fronted by three exceptionally talented local singers, Deirdre Archbold, Karen O'Regan and Paula O` Brien, the newly formed group blends a mix of folk, classical and country music. In an original and fresh approach, Ré Nua takes these regular genres and puts an innovative twist to them in a way that celebrates the modern sounds of Ireland.

Deirdre Archbold is a well established musician who reached the final three of RTE's 'You're a Star' competition and is a member of popular west Cork group LOWmountain. She has sung with Fr Liam Lawton and performed on The Late Late Show and RTE's The Café.

Karen O'Regan studied music in University College Cork where she majored in Voice Production, achieving a First Class Honour. She has performed many in shows and musicals and regularly sings at weddings and functions.

Paula Kingston, an accomplished guitar and piano player, Paula is a regular on the west Cork singer songwriter circuit, taking part in the Southern Belles sessions and is a regular in DeBarras of Clonakilty sitting room sessions and in Shanleys bar.

Laurie Hedger (drums), Ronan Archbold (guitar) and Duncan Lutz (bass):
Three extremely talented musicians, Laurie, Ronan and Duncan are regulars on the music scene and bring a knowledge and expertise to the band that is second to none.

With the band originally being the brainchild of Deirdre and Karen, the two had met Paula regularly on the west Cork music scene and had always admired her music. The girls have extensive and impressive musical backgrounds with a list of eclectic influences which include Katherine Jenkins, Mary Black, Sheryl Crowe, Karen Matherson, Dolores Keane and the Credence Clearwater Revival.

Speaking about the new venture Deirdre Archbold said, "I am incredibly excited about Ré Nua and can't wait to showcase our music. We are lucky to have the support of three incredible musicians, Laurie Hedger on drums, Ronan Archbold on guitar and Duncan Lutz on bass guitar. We can't wait to get out there gigging!"
