Matt Colwell,[2] better known by his stage name 360, is an Australian hip hop artist from Melbourne, Australia
Colwell attended Luther College in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and Box Hill Senior Secondary College for his final years of schooling. In February 2007, he moved to Melbourne and signed to Soulmate Records.[3][4] He released his debut album, What You See Is What You Get, in March 2008.

In a video interview with Sam James, Danny Haneman, and Aisha Glen for Peak Street Magazine, Colwell described his musical style as a combination of "some pop influences, electro, dubstep, and unintelligent rhymes."[5]

Colwell achieved a degree of notoriety with the release of a music video for "Mamma Mia", which featured his desire for Bec Hewitt and mocked her husband, Lleyton Hewitt. The video was released on January 14, 2008 and was the Video of the Week on MySpace.com's Australian hip-hop page.[2][6]

In 2011, Colwell's single "Just Got Started" entered at #74,[7] and peaked at number 30 on the ARIA Urban Singles Chart.[citation needed] His second album, Falling & Flying, was released on September 30, 2011,[8] topping the Australian iTunes charts for 3 weeks. On January 8, 2012, Falling & Flying went Gold and on February 24, the single Boys Like You went double platinum. Boys Like You ranked #8 in the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown of 2011. In 2011, Colwell was awarded the Channel [V] Oz Artist of the Year, beating musicians such as Guy Sebastian and band Short Stack.[9] 360 also took out the 'Jagermeister Most Hunted Award' at the Jagermeister Independent Music Awards (Australian Independent Record (AIR) Awards) as voted by fans.[10]

In June 2012, 360 revealed to national youth broadcaster Triple J that he was already working on his third album, describing the upcoming release as "quite a dark album". He is quoted as saying, "No one sees behind the scenes and there's been a lot of bad (expletive) going on in my family life and personal life". He also hinted at a diverse production line-up for the album, saying he has "been getting a gang of beats from all different people.
Colwell owes much of his popularity to rap battling. He plays live shows and creates many collaborative works with Pez as part of the duo Forthwrite.[12] Colwell featured on Pez's single, "The Festival Song", which peaked at #14 on the Australian artists singles chart.

Colwell is infamous for his diss of the Hilltop Hoods and Coxter. He participated in a freestyle contest and rapped, "The nose bleed section made me want to break their nose"[citation needed]. There is also an alleged diss track titled "Name-Dropper" in which he badmouths many members of the community, which was mentioned in his battle with American rapper Okwerdz[citation needed].

In 2010, Colwell started a phenomenon in the Australian hip-hop scene known as Rapper Tag[13][14] on YouTube, which has gained a large following.[15] Rapper Tag begins when one rhymer records a portion of a rap over a looped beat, then asks another to join in. The second rapper then repeats the process, and so on.
