Breeze, Quadrat and Loquai recently teamed up to give us 'The Art Of Sculpture' which was released on Breeze & Quadrat's Clinique Recordings a month ago. Now the trio of producers is back with a second single entitled 'Falling Stars' which comes with remixes from: Danny Lloyd and Timewave.
For those of you that loved 'The Art Of Sculpture' we think you'll enjoy 'Falling Stars' even more! Beginning with a tough kick, scattered claps and some haunting vocals parts a nice atmosphere is set early on. Fluttering arps combined with wavering hypnotic lines create a mesmerising landscape as the track reaches the main break. The drop is very brief with some smooth atmospheres taking shape as the kick drops back in quickly. The smooth harmonies and floating groove then carry the piece to a smooth but exhilarating finish that should be perfect for today's progressive house connoisseur.
The first remix is supplied by Danny Lloyd who is making his debut on Clinique. The Italian producer has come on strong the last six month or so with releases on Balkan Connection, OLD SQL and Lowbit. Danny's crafted a deeper and more tech house inspired mix of 'Falling Stars' which complements the original really well. An irresistible groove is accented with a unique twist on some of the atmospheric elements from the original to form a dreamy composition. What really grabs us though is how well the track flows; it's just damn smooth and just a pleasure to listen to. Should go down really well on the dance floor, Nice work from Danny.
The final remix comes from Timewave who is also making his debut on Clinique here. The Finnish producer first came to our attention when he debuted on Mistique Music in 2010. His fresh style of crunchy, tech-trance quickly became a favourite of many DJs including John OO Fleming and Airwave. He has since gone on to appear on John's Joof imprint several times also Armin Van Buuren's Armada Music. Timewave's 'Falling Stars' interpretation is full of long evolving atmospheres, shimming waves of percussion and rolling hypnotic rhythms that tantalize the senses. The vocal pads and plucky melodies add just the right amount of emotional content for a brilliant climax that's going to satisfy a broad range of progressive and trance fans out there.
