"THE JUGGLING MAESTRO"



Paolino aka MADKID ,“The Juggling Maestro”, è indubbiamente tra i djs italiani più apprezzati ed originali.

Nato a Taranto, attualmente vive a Bologna, dove oltre a suonare, organizza eventi di notorietà extra-urbana nei locali più noti della città. Si occupa da anni dell’ importazione e distribuzione di dischi presso il Trixshop di Bologna, stabilendo un filo diretto con la Jamaica. Dal 1999 per due anni ha fatto parte del Kaly weed suond, per poi decidere di camminare per le strade della musica da solo. Per anni ha condotto un programma su Radio k centrale, nota emittente indipendente della città. Nel 2003 ha formato con Dj Indi e Macro Marco la “juggling Akademy”, un progetto basato sul mixaggio, la qualità e l’originalità stilistica della musica suonata. Tale progetto ha di fatto radicalmente cambiato la scena italiana, influenzando nella tecnica e nell’arte della selezione le successive generazioni di Djs.

Madkid ha all’attivo due noti mixtape: “Back in the Days” e “My Way”, che riscuotono vasto successo tra il pubblico e gli “addetti ai lavori”. Il suo stile, inconfondibile e versatile che spazia tra Reggae, Soul e Rap, lo porta a suonare per ben 12 mesi all’anno da Milano a Ragusa, partecipando ai principali eventi della scena e collaborando con noti artisti nostrani ed esteri. Quando suona, è impossibile non lasciarsi trasportare dalla velocità del mixaggio, seguire la scia della selezione, eclettica e talvolta insolita, che ti travolge in un percorso da lui scelto per portarti in un viaggio di suoni, vibrazioni e racconti. Una sua session ti lascia sulla pelle sensazioni di colore e fantasia per perderti e, sull’ultima tune, poi ritrovarti con qualcosa in più.



Paolino aka MADKID, “the jugglin’ maestro”, is certainly one of the most esteemed and inventive italian djs.

Born in taranto, now he lives in bologna where other than playing, he uses to organize several out-of-town know events in the most famuos club of the town. He is dealing for years of import and distribution of records by the Trix Shop, establishing a direct link with Jamaica.

He has been part of “Kaly Weed Sound” from 1999 for two years, choosing after this experience to determine of walking by the streets of the music by his own way. He has been conducting for years a programme on “Radio K centrale” , a well-known station of Bologna.

He has constituted in 2003 “the Jugglin Akademy” with Macro Marco and Dj Indi, a project about the relevance of mixing, quality and originality of the recorded music. This work has resolutely changed the italian scene, influencing the following djs’ generation in the method and in selection art.

MadKid has got under his belt two well recognized mixtapes: “Back in the Days” and “My way”, which are successfull among the public and “ the person involved in the work”.

His umistakeble and various style, that ranges among Reggae, Rap and Soul, drives him to play for whole the year from Milan to Ragusa, taking part at the principle main events and collaborating with famous local and foreign artists.

When Mad Kid plays is just impossible do not get carried away by the speed of mixing, or not follow the wake of his eclectic and often odd selection. This one drags you in a travel which he has choosen to make you lose yourself on a way of sounds, vibes and stories. One of his session gives you sensations of colours and fantasy and lets you, on the last tune, to find yourself again, but with something new that you have never felt before.
