Fly Over State has a melodic alternative sound and designs their music for record collectors, referencing 70s art rock, 80s new wave, 90s shoegaze and 00s dance-punk. Amidst airy vocals, fuzzed guitars and post-punk drum beats is an album full of singles, drenching with synthesized strangeness.

Fly Over State is a post-dance-punk fueled alternative/indie rock band occupying the famous Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago since 2009. Equal parts Blondie and Blonde Redhead, Jess leading the 5-piece band with her airy vocals and are playing shows in the midwest to support of their new record.

Fly Over State's self titled album is available digitally summer 2012 with a launch party at the Double Door on June 8th.
