Orkestar Business Class is what you get when you mix the songs of the Russian and Balkan gypsies with the voice of the last of the great Finnish tango 'crooners',

Jaakko Laitinen, the gypsy-punk violin of Matti Kanabro, the cool rhythm guitar of Antti Alatalo and marinate them in the harsh climatic conditions of the Finnish Lapland.

Sometimes the songs reflect deepest sadness, sometimes bursting up to fierce speeds and sometimes being gentle and violent at the same time.



The Orkestar was formed at the late 2004 and ever since it has played dozens of gigs in various venues, it does not hesitate to play in smoky pubs, birthday parties,

weddings or in any kind of occasion. After the sold out farewell concert and the release of the Orkestar Business Class Duo - Ennen Maanpakoa (Before the Exile) -ep,

the singer Jaakko left the country and headed for Hungary, staying there for the whole year 2006.



In January 2007 Jaakko returned with new songs, new ideas and before unseen strength in his voice. Orkestar started playing immediadly. Since then the band has been

practicing and playing a lot. It is obvious that they have not only regained, but also exceeded their lost splendour!



After the summer 2007, Orkestar was joined by percussionist Jarkko Kumpulainen and accordion player Marko Roininen. Who knows how big they will eventually expand?!
