The magic of fingerstyle guitar: Henry Nam at TEDxStanford - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 23, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Henry Nam describes his music as "fingerstyle solo acoustic guitar with percussive and pianistic elements." Nam's music career began when an extraordinary piano teacher inspired him as a teenager. In his early 20s, Nam began teaching himself guitar. He now makes his living as a performer, composer and educator, and has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Born in South Korea and raised in San Francisco, Germany and Washington, D.C., Nam is the product of an international, multicultural upbringing. He says this background is evident in his diverse musical stylings, and has shaped his view of the arts as a universal language that connects people regardless of background.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
