Orchestre International du Vetex - De Kreun Kortrijk - 12 November 2011 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 09, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Orchestre International du Vetex performed at De Kreun in Kortrijk on 12 November 2011 and SeaMedia volunteer and Howest University College journalism student Hanne Bonte was there to film and interview the band as they performed songs from their new album Total Tajine.

OIDV has musicians from Belgium, France and the Balkans so there's a lot of switching back and forth between French, Dutch and English when they speak to each other.

In this video, they talk about how music is an international language that crosses and opens up borders and brings people together.

The EU 2Seas project SeaMedia aims to do the same by setting up an online video platform with cross-border stories that cross cultures and introduce people from West Flanders, Northern France and South England to each other and to others beyond these regions. Music will be a hot topic as it's a common language spoken everywhere.

Stay tuned for the mid 2012 launch of the platform!
