Church of Betty - Last Week (Blossom and Decay, 1995, Fang Records) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 31, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
This pure rocker formally closes the book on a failed relationship, tourniquets the past and turns toward the future with head high, no regrets. It’s time to move on… to 2016!

Last week my sun turned orange, moving to the horizon, all the particles of dust hanging in atmosphere. Those purple particles cut right through my vision. They made that disc glow like a lava flow. Last week my sky went red and bled all over horizon, all those razor jagged rays raining from the sky. Those light-kissed molecules penetrate my vision. They make my brain glow like a helium balloon. Sitting on a dusty porch, looking over the fields at the gathering clouds. That hot tornado wind lapping gently at your face, it’s a warning. Last week your face turned blue. You galloped into horizon, kicking up the prairie dust as you moved into the void. My memory grasped at your elusive shadow. All the dust you kicked around has settled back in place. Last week your face turned blue after you cut down our fruit tree. You dried up and blew away on a cyclone wind. My mind is thirsting for that electric connection. When I look around, the garden’s rich and green.
