DESCRIPTION:
2015 is one crazy ass year; with so much going on in society, politics and the environment, it helps to pause for a second to get a clearer picture of things.. this theme is in light of what most artists I know of who really have interesting things to say when they want you to stop look and listen..

I feel that for any music genre, hip hop is the voice of my generation- born in 83, have been a fan of a lot of different musical art-forms, but hip hop just seems to connect with the world and make sense out of the senseless in the deepest and most unique ways.. But there seems to be a big difference as to what I listen to and the majority of what’s commercialized since it's materialized which is disgraceful to this culture that has so many meaningful messages in its music.. Stop look & listen for yourselves and you might just see what I'm talking about, but if not, whatever, it's just a smidgen of scratching the surface..

I made this mix partly out of spite for my experiences DJing in Paris for these international hostel youngsters who usually made the scene sour every time i didn't play beyoncé or any other top 40 hit they didn't know by heart since the past 5 years.. these young bucks coming up asking to plug in their ipods and shit, what happened to the messages in the music, even a lil bit? There's meaningful music to dance to also, not just what's on the radio! I wasn't anything special with my amateur skills, but still.. Hard to appeal to these kids who can only dance to a beat if it's over 120bps... but i digress...

So to them and anyone else, I got love for y'all know matter what, I just wish y'all would keep your minds open as much as possible, for this is just another monkey mix experiment!
