We are no pioneers. No eccentric cocain-rockers, no concept band, no self-declared attorney of authenticity. We are three boys and a girl from Berlin. We believe that Germany’s indie scene is tired of easy answers. But don’t expect that innovation-knockout-card now. Expect music that’s willing to prove that honest, sincere indie-rock from Germany has lots of potential to fill floors and save lives.

After playing loads of shows in the german capital (together with the likes of Jennifer Rostock, Across Five Aprils, Parachutes, Go&Comeback, Favez, Radiopilot, Paulsrekorder, The Springs and many more), festivals in front of 1000 listeners, founding our own booking agency (headvsheart booking) and touring ever after, we released our second EP “Pioneers” in February 2008. It breathes ambition. We’ve found out where we stand: both feet on stage and our entire heart behind the music.

We write melodic popsongs, we write danceable indie tracks, we write smart college punk. We don’t intend to reinvent rock music, but a cliché only becomes interesting if you don’t recognise it. A question only, if you don’t know the answer. A feeling only, if you can’t explain it. Our music doesn’t always choose the shortcut home. It takes that long way round. The one that matters.

Before being a band we spent a long time in the States. The influence of the US college and indie scene stays with us. Soon after we discovered the UK. But these days you can’t force music onto a world map. Bands like Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab for Cutie, Editors or Biffy Clyro remain as references, not idols.

We play music to move people. Be it on the dancefloor, at home or in the subway. We play music, because we have something to say. We take snap-shots with our eyes and hearts and we turn them into songs. We paint our image of reality: Depicting and full of contrast, but vague enough for everyone to recognise themselves in it. Failing, succeeding, life how it should be and life how it really is. We sing about boys and girls, about saying goodbye and being grownup. But we take care that “ambitioned” does not turn into “cryptical”. Cliché can’t be an end in itself.

Radio interviews (Sputnik, Motor Fm), articles (Berliner Zeitung, Tip) and airplay (Motor FM, Fritz, Star FM, Sputnik, YouFm) leave us wanting more. We‘re planning the next tour for October. Until then we’ll keep on playing gigs, writing new songs and recording.

Catchyness and quality is no antagonism. A good idea doesn’t need a principle, it needs a feeling. Many know that, many lack it. We want to walk the honest path between indie and mainstream. We want to dance, we want to dream. We want you to come along.
