The Springs

On the 15th of March Völli passed away. An aggressive type of cancer diagnosed not long ago is the reason. We are incredibly sad and shocked and we miss the best of friends. It was an honor to play with you in a band.



"The Springs" is a young band from Berlin, that is committed to loud rock music with college and emo tendencies. The songs of the three live from the tension between soft passages with catchy melodies and hard sounds with pushing beats. In addition frontman Völli sings profound lyrics: no “Lalala”, no „Here we go again.“. Only topics that are important: unreached love, self-deception or the question, if you are living the life that you want. Emo-Rock here we go. But The Springs is not „just another emo band“. The three friends have just too many music influences, that not only contain Emo-classics like Jimmy eat World, but also good old Rockbands like Foo Fighters, Blink 182 and Millencolin. But despite the variety of bands that were role models to the Springs, the band has managed to create its own, destinctive style. No filler, just killer: The Springs.



Since the three friends Völli, Nick and Volker formed the band two years ago they have played in every renowned club (Magnet, Knaack, Tacheles) in their hometown Berlin. With an average of two to three concerts per month The Springs have gained live-experience on stages of all sizes. With their music and their convincing stage performance they have managed to win a growing fan-base and have build up a reputation. Other gigs throughout Germany (Dresden, Karlsruhe) state their growing success.
