DESCRIPTION:
This is the Vespas playing a concert at National Taiwan University gymnasium in the summer of 1983. We were playing 2 or 3 times a month on weekends at the Stagecoach pub or at parties and had a real dance scene going -- there wasn't a whole a lot to do in Taipei at the time, so it could get pretty crazy. Here at NTU the school authorities got a little freaked out and tried to stop the wild dancing you can see in the "Can't Help Myself" (Four Tops) clip, the last two songs of the concert were "Fiction Romance" (Buzzcocks), and then "Sex Beat" (The Gun Club), where they brought the lights up and chased the remaining dancers off to the side. It was a fun night!
