Composed by Jay McShann, "Confessin' The Blues" was first recorded by Plas Johnson on his 1983 Carell album, "Plas Johnson & The Grease Patrol - L.A. '55". This big band arrangement features the unmistakably sophisticated yet raunchy tenor saxophone stylings of Plas Johnson, complimented by the power and precision of the Evan Solomon Big Band.
