DESCRIPTION:
As part of NAMM 2014, on Jan 25, 2014, Gretsch Guitars presented the First Annual Twang-o-Rama at The Juke Joint Bar & Grill in Anaheim, CA. Eight bands did 30-minute sets over a period of six hours, representing a wide range of modern and retro roots and rockabilly styles, showcasing Gretsch guitars, amps, and drums.

It was pretty epic.

It only got more so when The Octanes, blazing out of Austin, TX, ripped into the seventh set of the long night of music. You might call it straight-up slammed hillbilly roots rockin' with a driving groove and a Texas-sized order of Big Guitar. Adam Burchfield, Sweetheart of the Bass Drew Hays, and drummer Brian Fahey turned in a dynamic, electrifying performance. This IS what this music is all about.
