OCD vs Keeley Blues Driver - Pedal Demo - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 23, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
An A/B guitar pedal demo between a Fulltone OCD and Keeley modded Boss Blues Driver.

Equipment used: Fender American Standard Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul Custom
PODxt "Fender Blackface" which I tweaked to sound as close as humanly possible to my humble Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (as basic an amp sound there is)

No fancy processing, no verb or effects. And no crappy camera mic audio (except for intro voiceover)

About the pedals: These are both great sounding overdrives, each with a unique flavor that comes out strongest at high gain settings. The Fulltone OCD is a very popular "boutique" overdrive, the Keeley Blues Driver mod is also very widely used among big-name guitarists (and even bassists, as the one I'm demoing belongs to a certain bassist whose fairly large band is from this town...*ahem)

And for any purists out there wondering why I used a Line6 instead of a *gasp* real amp...
2 very good reasons: 1) it was midnight and my kids sleeping in the next room, 2) my studio guy went on vacation for the week and took the keys with him.
