Occupied Thought

Occupied Thought The name says so much about the connection between I-MC and Silhouette. It's not often that you find the unique contrast that these two emcees form. Together their musical styles create an interesting blend considering I-MC grew up in the Bay Area and Silhouette grew up in Virginia. Silhouette moved to the Bay Area in 96, but it wasnt until 99 that they met through a mutual friend. Almost immediately they started to collaborate and found they both shared the same dream and the same passion for hip-hop. By the end of 2000 they had cliqued and formed Occupied Thought. Since then they have done nothing but build and evolve.



Their open-mindedness allows them to bring unity to a song, but their perspectives are different enough to bring depth to a whole project. Neither of the two are afraid to express their weaknesses which they make up for in strengths. Even when they disagree their focus remains unscathed and they stay on the same page.



Occupied Thought represents a positive stand in every conceptual arena they enter. The overall vibe of their music could very well be a new catalyst to the conscious movement. Besides the pleasure of making music, their main goal is to keep your thought occupied through the purest form of hip-hop.



Currently Occupied Thought is in the formulation stages of their second project titled, "Over Time", the follow up to their underground release, "Maximum Occupancy. We will keep you updated on shows, events, etc.
