Its been over a month since Bridging The Gap Music released a beat tape from the up and coming highly recommended producer crew 83 Sound out of Germany. With over hundreds of email inquiries for compositions from unknown to A list artists, 83 Sound definitely has what it takes to becoming one of the greatest production team to bless your ears.... 83 SOUND




83 Sound is a group of producers who were all coincidentally born in 1983, and includes Microphono, Max Mostley, OC Beats, Kayohes, and Kemz. The unique background of each member works to provide a broad range of inspiration, creativity, and sound - but they live for hip-hop.

83 Sound was formed in 2001 when its original members, producers Microphono (Phono) and Max Mostley (Mo), met at a hip-hop event in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Although residing in different cities, Kaiserslautern and Berlin respectively, the two began to collaborate on projects.

In the fall of 2006, the team added three additional producers: OC, also from Kaiserslautern; Kemz (currently residing in Miami), who had previously lived in the same neighborhood as Phono and Mo; and Kayohes, an emcee who attended the University of Maryland in Mannheim with Kemz.

Previous projects include production for A Alikes, Chakuza, Dead Prez, Edo G, Freestyle of the Arsonists, Muddy Trenchez, Nyze, V3rb, Slimkid3 of the Pharcyde and many more. Currently, 83 Sound is working with local artists in Germany, as well as the US and UK.
