My Trip to Carlsbad and Encinitas for National University by Alumnus Anna Fisher

August 27, 2010, I headed out on Amtak out of Union Station in Los Angeles, California to Oceanside on the Pacific Surfliner to record a video with Scratch Media in Carlsbad Studios for my inspiring alma mater, National University! My friend, Attorney B Kwaku Duren dropped me at the station where I picked up my tickets at the kiosk. At my 24 year old daughter's advice I upgraded to Business Class to take advantage of the amenities and it was worth it! Although the trip could've been more user friendly, the human beings (as opposed to machines) of service along the way were MOST accommodating and helpful!

RT fare from LA to Oceanside was $27 in Coach and $40 in Business. Caught the red line Metro and a city bus home beating traffic and in the door by 5 pm!

The friendly employees on Amtrak who truly love their jobs, Hoyt Smith, Alumni Relations Director from National, Scratch Media and Jamroc 101 made it the BEST DAY EVER! Thank you, National for giving me the opportunity to give back but a token for all you have done for me and my family!
