Transsiberia is a musical project based on Khakas ethnic tradition. It blends immemorial Siberian musical heritage with electronic and psychedelic elements.
The distinctive synthesis of Khakas songs and contemporary music, grows a feeling of cinematic experience, and spiritually stimulates the audience to discover authentic timber of native musical instruments.
Khakas music reminds us that we are part of the whole, and it’s a favour to the soul of mountains, rivers, living creatures and last but not the least, the savannah. The naïve, natural and mythical lyrics of the songs address a wide range of issues, such as story telling, remembering sagas and endless kudos to supreme beings. Listeners are invited to the core of the myths till the end of the journey.
Transsiberia, formed by Toma Davletova in chatkhan, kopuz and vocals, and Selçuk Yusuf Ergen in musical arrangement and production, present the music of Siberia with their own interpretation.
