Live at the 2017 Scarborough Scooter Rally - The Extra Specials with special guests: The Wainstones

The Extra Specials, performing live at the 2017 Scarborough Scooter Rally, in the packed main hall of Scarborough Spa.

The audience danced their socks off to a night of reggie / ska hits - the creation of none other than: The Specials.

A faultless rendition of Rat Race, (a personal favourite) was well received, I had a hard time remembering to control myself and not desert the cameras. Invited on stage to accompany the band on the maracas was none other than Leeds actor: George Newton

Rat Race, was one of many hits by The Specials, written by guitarist: Roddy Byers, it reached number 5 in the charts.


The Extra Specials, were supported by special guests: The Wainstones, performing their own number: My Inspiration.

The Wainstones, put on a great show in this their own territory, being from just up the coast at Redcar. Watch out for these guys!!!

All in all.. a great night.
