National NRP Steel Tricone
The National NRP Steel Tricone borrows many of its features from our single cone NRP guitar. The body is made from thin-gauge steel and has a formed back. A mahogany neck clears 12 frets to the body and this particular guitar features an bound rosewood fretboard complete with inlaid mother-of-pearl position markers. Tuners are vintage-style engraved, open gear.

This Tricone features the new rubbed finish. The rubbed finish is desirable for two reasons... It has a vintage look, and it doesn't show fingerprints. For years we have ordered this finish as an option on otherwise highly polished nickel finishes, and it looks good and wears well.

Playing this stunning guitar, it is very easy to get lost in the warmth of it's voice. Like playing a vintage radio, or the feeling of a good vinyl record, the classic sound of all National guitars come from the iconic AlNiCo National cones. Hand-spun, these cones are vital to making
any resonator sound like a classic.
