Soundtrack Resolve - an 85BPM Eurorack Patch - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 02, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Today's patch is an experimental melodic patch exploring ideas of the pensive. a simple two pattern kick drum and occasional hi hats keep an even timing for plucky synth that meanders through the notes changing up the timing throughout. A deep bass punctuates this at times while a shuffling noise wash passes through regularly and a long enveloped synth plays a everyone in a while.

A quick run down of the patch:

Kick is a Basimilus Iteratus sequenced by two patterns of a Delptronics triggerman via an ADDAC206 voltage controllable switch.

Hats are white noise filtered through a uVCF bandpass filter trigger sequenced by a an 4MSQCD that is being attenuated an voltage controlled by a Frequency central Wave runner. A Qbit EON EG is modulating the amplitude of a linix VCA which then feed into another channel of the linix which has amplitude modulation from a 4MS PEG using the Async input. this basically means the hi-hats appear and disappear. as the PEG is only applying the envelope occasionally.

The plucky sound is a Mutable Instruments Rings which is being filtered through a WMD/SSF Spectrum for some nice mild non linear distortion. There is an envelope for amplitude of the pluck applied to the linix VCA and the envelope also has some influence on the Filter's frequency. This is sequenced by a Make Noise Rene which is being clocked by a 4MS QCD. The channel feeding the the X clock of the Rene is being modulated to create variance in the timing of the pluck

The shuffling noise wash is noise from a SSF Ultra-Random Analogue filtered via a Doepfer A 106 SEM VCF. both frequency inputs are being modulated. one by a Peaks in ENV mode. This is also acting as the amplitude envelope. The other is a saw tooth LFO from a Abstract Data ADE32 which provides the shuffle.

The Bass notes are triggered from the ADE32 triggering a Frequency Central envelope X. the part is a DPO filtered through a Epoch modular Twin peaks Filter.

Long string is a Mutable instruments Braids in WTX4 mode with timbre and colour modulation from Mutable instruments Peaks. Peaks is also modulating the Amplitude of a channel of the Intellijel Linix VCA. this is sequenced from a Tiptop z8000.

a percussive synth comes from the DPO channel one Sin output with an amplitude envelope being supplied by a Frequency Central X envelope. and the trigger sequence coming from a Delphtronics Triggerman

The tiptop z8000 is also feeding the shift input of an intellijel uScale along with the Rene to feed both DPO channels.
