Described by Nuvo magazine's Wayne Bertsch as having an "ethereal voice," "Noah East sings the kind of songs Elliott Smith might have written with some therapy and meds."

The evolution of Noah's music is a result of not only a deep seated passion for music, but also a near obsessive drive to play and sing for any audience he can find. Whether it is in front of a packed venue or in the quiet company of a few close friends, Noah picks up a guitar, sits down at a piano and sings his heart out for whomever will listen.

The former lead singer of Kingsley, Noah has played as both a band member and as a solo artist. He has had the distinct honour of sharing the stage with music's heavy hitters such as Michelle Branch, Jon McLaughlin, Dispatch and many others. While opening for John Eddie in 2005, John said of Noah with a smile from the stage: "I hate you for how good you are and the life you have ahead of you."

Noah, with the aid of musical mastermind R. D. Mathison, continues to experiment and branch out in his music, adding instruments and styles as his talent matures. Currently, his focus is a more back-to-basics approach: folksy pop songs with piano driven melodies, accompanied by understated strings and the ever-so-slight hint of old-time country. You can find it in his live performances or on his upcoming sophomore album Bird. I think Scene & Heard magazine said it best when they did a review of Noah's 2006 album Inside The Sleep Machine: "a gem . a pop-rock tour de force . Noah East has a voice that is unparalleled by anything else in music right now".
