It's crazy to think that this is the first video I completed in such a short amount of time- about two hours, in fact. Two hours straight, from midnight to 2 a.m. last night. I kind of just had a burst of energy... Maybe because this song itself is so powerful.

I stumbled across it just a few weeks ago, in the midst of a difficult time that has been lasting for months. The words speak to me so much. How many times, during grief or loss, do people tell us to just let it go, move on, forget about it? It's like they just don't realize that is the hardest thing you can try to do. Yet at the same time, society holds us as obligated to act as if it doesn't really matter- to hold it all in, hide our pain, pretend we're okay- when we're NOT. That is poison. The true key to healing does not lie in pretending, or forcing the bleeding to stop, but letting wounds run their natural course, fading slowly with time, and tears, and every bit of natural mourning it takes. We need to remember this. It's okay to hurt. It's okay to be human. It's okay to not be okay, because honesty is the only real way to healing,

On a side note, I hope that you all have a very happy Thanksgiving 2014 and remember to rejoice in the blessings you do have. Remember- gratitude is often the number one key (or sometimes first step) to happiness.
