Niyi said before reading his 'People Are My Clothes' poem: "In Yoruba philosophy and cosmology the human being is right at the center of the universe,"

Remindful of Walt Whitman! 'At the center of all, and object of all, stands the Human Being, toward whose heroic and spiritual evolution poems and everything directly or indirectly tends, Old World or New.' Walt wrote in 'A Backward Glance', 1888.

Niyi is now 65. Videography by Paul Punzo.
