Don't call it a comeback, consider it a takeover,Atlanta born Nitris (aka) Da Transpprter, has made is presence known, ans rapidly claiming his place amongst The Kings of Hip Hop.
Born and bred in Atlanta, Ga, one would have to know, not to expect anything less than extraordinary from natives of the musical metropolis,and Nitris is no exception, with musical talents that began at a very early age,Nitris and others around him, knew that he was destined for greatness as an artist.Since his days of playing in his middle school band, where he would learn and master the arts of playing multiple musical instruments, such as the trumpet, the trombone, and the baritone, Nitirs,has always had a gift for being able to move a crowd, being able to share his story with total strangers who could relate to him was mind blowing, and he loved every minute of it.being inspired by the people around him, Nitris would be shocked to find that his musical genius, went far beyond that of what he knew he possessed. At the age of 23 Nitris would be invited to participate in a free style battle with one of his closest friends, what was just young guys having fun, manifested itself into A FULL BLOWN AND UNDISCOVERED TALENT.
This isn't where it ends though, Nitris has to be the EPITOME of what a true Music Mogul is made of.From his days at Raw deal Records ,where Hip Hop Superstar Young Joc was once a hype man, Nitirs would find himself dancing, singing, engineering, and rapping.It was only a matter of time before Nitris would find himself in his first serious/professional performance as an artist. A year after he discovered his ability to make people want to pay for his freestyle, Nitris would find himself at The Gate ( a popular cub in Atlanta). The performance which can actually be seen on YouTube, was one that Nitris says he will never forget, when asked about that performance Nitris will tell you " it was ok for a first time performance,lol". Well Nitris himself didn't know that it was better than ok, it was great, because it wasn't too long after that the Nitris would perform at the Black Lion Club ,the experience he says "was crazy,it felt great to have people who didn't know my music, watch my performance and enjoy it,and the more i went back to perform, I realized the the crowd would be singing along with me, they actually KNEW my music, and that was awesome ".
In 2007,realizing that his gift was undeniable, Nitirs decided that it was time to put his career into action, with that he started his own label, Music Makers Ent, not wanting to put his destiny in the hands of an industry where your first hit , could be your only hit. Nitris wanted to be in control of his career and where it would be going. With the support of his family and friends, Nitirs is often quoted as saying that his motivation for making it in the industry, is his family indeed. " I want to be able to provide a better life form, than what they currently have." My friends and family have supported me 100 % and my mom and dad have always been proud of me, regardless of what the situation was".With the support of one of his best friends Ashok Shah MD, a friend who saw his passion and and was willing to invest in his dream, nitris will tell anyone " my friends from childhood have been here since day one, and are still here".
So you have to take into consideration, everything that Nitris has, The talent, The looks, The support of friends and family, Nitris is walking the steps that lead to superstardom. Having worked with Young Joc,Mr Jonz, Tony Towers, and Ms, Behavin,is more than apparent that not only his friends and family, but the music industry as a whole, has taken notice of Nitris and his musical genius. Nitris has a sound that can be described as universal, " you cant just relate me to oe particular standard of music", my sound is that of a southern rapper who's tone, is reflective of the mood that I'm in, I can be loud and aggressive, or smooth and subtle,when need be,rhythm is my sound".
With a swagger than can be described as street /prep, Nitris says that his swagger is reflective of his experiences" I give a bit of both, because I have experienced both ', and the same should be said of his album as well. On Nitris's forthcoming project, audiences can expect to hear motivating, club,inspirational,and sounds not quite yet heard in the industry yet, dont' listen to the album, expecting to hear just one sound, Nitris 's experiences far surpass that, and as such is reflective on every track on the album, they all have their story, sound, and identity.
"gotta do my thang" is the favorite track of the MC, "gotta do my thang " is an inspirational track, that takes you from one point in life to another, Nitris often says that it reminds him of rocky and the " Eye of the Tiger " moment,. " it takes you from the bottom to the top " and that's MOTIVATION.Get to the paper( a hood inspired track that is Nitri's view on how to get paid, and how he plans to do things his way),Take ova(is the story of how Nirtis will come into the game, and claim it as his own, its the blueprint for his take ova).C U LOOKIN( a collabo with Atlanta r & b sensation Tony Towers, tells of a fun night at the club, that leads to a more than romantic encounter( this is definitely one for the ladies).
In a time where fads are the trend, and may MC's lose their identity tryin to become an exact replica of the artist's that industry has made the protocol, Nitris is something FRESH, and an artist that is a combination of things, being able to tell more than one story,there is no need to become a slave to trends, Nitris is an artist that stays true to himself, and that in itself is to be respected.
