Washington, D.C.'s Sons of Thunder were the first Christian rock band to release a nationally-distributed album in the U.S. ("Till the Whole World Knows," in 1968 on Zondervan Records). "Day Follows Night," in 1972, was their second album. "Day Follows Night," the title track from this album, is one of many written by SOT member Donna Gadling (now Walters), and features Hendricks Davis singing. Others featured on this recording include Becky Newell (vocals), Phyllis Wade (vocals), Donna Gadling (vocals, organ), Ed Weaver, (organ, vocals), Tom Willett (bass), Don Williamson (drums), Steve Halverson (congas), Blaine Smith (acoustic guitar). Cow bell and maraca players uncertain; many band members played alt. percussion on different songs.
