DESCRIPTION:
Fania All-Star and first call timbalero Nicky Marrero celebrated his 65th birthday on father's day celebrating 50 years of music @ the Julia de Burgos Performing Arts Center. Fans and supporters came from as far as Amsterdam in the Netherlands w/ Dr. Salsa giving him a special poem and tribute. Musical brothers Larry Harlow, Eddie Palmieri, Nelson Gonzalez, Pete Nater, Harvey Averne and many others were on hand to pay tribute to the always boyish Nicky who was there w/ his wife Evie and his son and grandchildren.
