Next man started out following his father's footsteps at a young age being involved in music, always being surrounded by music, it was in his blood. He with his cousins started a DJ group called "Destiny sound" and did house parties and various events until he had an oppertunity to meet up with an underground radio station manager named "Cookie" who liked his voice, and felt that he would be a perfect addition to the staff at the underground station. Given a night time slot, he was given he task to boost listeners for that time slot. Loving challenges he came up with inventive ways of keeping listeners tuned in. "I wanted to be different, I didn't want to be like all of the other DJs,so I did, and said things that other DJs weren't doing and saying' and it worked." says Next man. Even his name was different, the name was given to him by close friends because of his lifestyle (at the time) being a ladies man, and always saying "if ya man can't do it, the Next man will!" The name worked for him on the radio,so he kept it.



Next man was a general manager at a popular fast food resturant , and also persued his childhood dream of becoming a pilot. He managed to do all of this while still doing the radio and parties with his group "destiny sound." After getting his pilot's certificate, Next man was able to travel to long distance events, cutting time by flying himself instead of driving, people started calling him the "flying DJ" and it caused more doors to open up for him. He landed a slot doing three nights at a popular Miami club (Cocos) and things really started moving for him. Soon he quit the resturant business, and became a full time DJ, "working less and makeing more money,I had to do it! My family wasn't too sure about my move, giving up a sure thing with the resturant, but I had to do it." says Next man. His radio personality continued to grow, but unfortunately

the underground station had to shut down. Focusing on his place at Cocos he affiliated himself with a number of Miami artist, such as Trick Daddy, No Good, C.O., Money Mark, Mr.Jitt, Po Sol,J-Dot, J.T.Money, Tre da hard way, Iconz,Cool and Dre,True Playaz,Platinum boy, D.C.C., Lady Luck, Lighthouse North Ent. Grind mode, Ballgreezy, Cutta

man Y.S. Loose Gam, Focus, A.J. and the whole ATP lineup and numerous other artist. Helping to break a lot of their hits."Everybody comes to Cocos to world premiere their new songs, if it makes it here, it will do very well." says Next man. Cocos is know world wide (ClubCocos.com) and everybody at one time or another has visited the club commonly known as the booty capitlol of the south. "People come here to hear great music, look at the most beutiful women in the world, to see who is in the club and generally to have a good time, I make sure that they have a good time, like with the radio, I do it differently, I don't do what most DJs do, I got my own style." explains Next man. "I entertain." he adds.



Next man proudly claims being inspired by Great Miami DJs such as Uncle Al, Space funk DJs, Sugar Hill DJs, Jam Pony Express DJs, Killa Mike (of Prodigy Crew) and even Luke, along with The Rushin man, DJ Ice, and Tony (former legendary Cocos DJS). "I use to watch these legends work and be in awe of them. There is nothin' like the true Miami style of DJing." he says with a bright smile. "The art of working the mic incoorperating it with the music and Lyrics to make the song sound hyper, Man that's a Miami thing! And even though the style seems to be fading, I'm keeping it, that's a Miami heritage that we as Miami DJs can't let die. A lot of visitors to Miami come and hear the style and don't understand it at first but when they see the crowd going crazy and find themselve wildin' too, oh they like it!" explains Next man. "I might be a little old school but as long as I can still get people hyped doin it my way. I ain't changin'!"

He says with a serious expression. "Is nothin' like puttin on a luke record and watchin' girls get loose. Then I guide them through certain movements on the mic that make it hard for any man to resist running up behind them and joining in. It's a Miami thing baby! "



Nine years into the game, Next man has continued to do his thing at Cocos and now is the Head DJ, But he is working with other superstar DJs, Big Meat, Sam Sneak, Big Will, Dj Nasty, and DJ Kidd and together they are keeping Cocos on the map. He still flies airplanes and has recently started flying helicopters, bike riding has now been included into his thrill seeking passions."I don't think I live dangereously, I just like doing different things."Says Next man laughingly. He is also working very closely with a lot of up and coming models,venturing into producing and video production. " In my line of work it's not hard to find potential superstars, Miami has a large population of models (discovered or undiscovered) with a melting pot of nationalities. I've had the pleasure of working with a lot of them Including Montana(www.Montanadeloen.com),Platinum(of Top Notch Ent.-www.Beplatinum.com), Tiffany(of America's next top model), Ms bacardi(www.MsBacardionline.com), Tia(www.Sexytia.com), The Knock out Queens( www.Knockoutqueens.com),and many others too many to mention." he says. He is now working with Mad max productions, and Budda Flims, on a movie project. "We deffinitly have a star studded line up that's gonna be off the chain."says Next man.
