MOMENTVM
- A composition for tenor saxophone, symphony orchestra and sub conductors in 3 parts by Adam Page, commissioned by The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra - premiered on November 30th, 2013 at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
MOMENTVM is a symphonic representation of how we experience travel and how travel shapes our experiences and interactions with the world. The three movements: 'At sea', 'By air' and 'On foot' are largely through-composed but have key moments where sub conductors will determine what notes, cells or sections the orchestra will play by holding up large numbered cards. The four sub conductors will be elected to lead the string, woodwind, brass and percussion sections. A young child will begin the composition and decide the order of the main sections of 'At sea'.
