N.S.O.A. New Society of Anarchists is a HARDCORE/THRASH/PUNK trio from Milwaukee, WI. N.S.O.A. was formed in the early 90's by brothers Zakk and Arlo Z. . In 1994 N.S.O.A. released their first self-titled CD and started playing shows locally more and more. In 1996 they released their second CD "Slam,Stomp,Mosh,Crush" . This record would put N.S.O.A. in the national circuit by landing them a slot on the '96 VANS WARPED TOUR; this gave the band the opportunity to play for new and larger audiences.
After touring, N.S.O.A. was eager to put out a new album. They hit the studio and put out their third CD "RIOT GUN", but they found themselves parting ways with their drummer and in 1997 with the new release "RIOT GUN" came their new and current drummer Aug Z. So with the new record and a new drummer they hit the road with Italian punk legends, RAW POWER. N.S.O.A. continued touring independently throughout '97 and '98 building up their fan base locally and throughout the Midwest.
After being on the road and breaking in the new guy, N.S.O.A. was excited to put out a new record. In 1999, with a batch of new songs they went back into the studio to record. The result was the pulverizing Hardcore record "GAGGED BY THE FLAG" and like the road warriors they've become it was back to work, touring a thriving DIY underground music scene, playing halls, basements, and bars throughout the Midwest, Texas, and the West coast.
In mid-2000 N.S.O.A. went back into the studio to record their fifth CD. This studio session would be joined by producer Billy Milano, out spoken front man for S.O.D. and M.O.D. In 2001 N.S.O.A released "THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE BRUTAL" and joined M.O.D. on tour. In 2004 N.S.O.A toured on their sixth release, "COME OUT SWINGIN" with Hardcore/Crossover pioneers D.R.I. In 2007 N.S.O.A. released "FOR THE FORGOTTEN" a twenty track fully automatic assault on the world's elite. The band's latest record "STREET WISE" was released in 2010 on the independent record label out of Illinois "THE PATH LESS TRAVELED RECORDS". "STREET WISE" is by far the bands best release. "STREET WISE" bleeds with experience, reflecting on the respect, sacrifice, and survival of almost twenty years in the DIY underground music scene.
In 2011 the independent record label "S.B.S. RECORDS" out of Cleveland, OH. released "START A RIOT". This CD is an aggressive time line of N.S.O.A.'s recorded history. "START A RIOT" is fully loaded with one track off of every record N.S.O.A. has ever released. This CD also has eight live tracks recorded on the STREET WISE TOUR of 2010. N.S.O.A. is still touring and putting out new records. N.S.O.A. has a split 7 inch with ANTISEPTIC called "RETROPACOLYPSE" coming out on S.B.S. RECORDS scheduled to be released in fall of 2012. N.S.O.A. is also working on new material for a new record that without a doubt will be an uncompromising roar of defiance and aggression.
