Producing this track involved the help of some of the greatest musicians in New Orleans, including the unique talents of Ivan Neville, Paul Sanchez, "Sista Teedy" Boutte and many more. "Bent, but Not Broken" is an homage to a city that has welcomed me like family and changed my life. It has been a six month labor of love to produce a song I wrote when I first arrived in Nola in 2007. The proceeds from the sale of this song will benefit SilenceIsViolence. Our mission is to call upon both citizens and public officials in ALL communities to achieve a safer New Orleans. We engage youth in positive expressions and actions to counter the culture of violence. We require respect for every life, and justice for every citizen in our city.
