Hypnotic. Repetitive. Rhythmic
Composer Philip Glass is a trance artist in every sense of the word.
The fragile beauty of his 1982 release ‘Opening’ (Glassworks) provides the inspiration for this first collaboration between Ibiza promoter Kirk Field, DJ Nick Coles and Paris-based producer Space Raven.

The ORIGINAL MIX takes Glass’s signature piano progressions, adds an emotive operatic vocal courtesy of Kirsten Morrison, marinades them in majesty, before firing them from CO2 cannon onto a seething, strobe-lit dance floor.

The ORIGINAL DUB is all of the above except the vocal. SAM MITCHAM'S CAPTURED FESTIVAL MIX fixes the focus is on solo piano and vocal sections, reflecting the unique, and epic vibe of Ibiza’s premier trance one-off, Captured Festival.

The result is an adrenalin-fuelled odyssey into the ecstatic and ethereal; Opening is a thing of beauty.

2017 marks the 80th birthday of one of our most influential contemporary composers. Neuroma Seroma set out to prove his music is as relevant today as ever.
