N.E.P.H, a resident of Atlanta and native of Trenton New Jersey, has been involved in hip-hop for over 15 years. First impressions would reveal a very humble, nonchalant attitude; however, once on stage he delivers a charismatic performance that makes any crowd move. N.E.P.H has universal appeal and fascinates audiences no matter where he goes. His lyrics are easy to relate with and his delivery keeps the attention of the masses. In addition, he has crossover appeal and has already established a multi-ethnic fan base. N.E.P.H, born Steve Beckett, was free-styling on Trentons streets at a very young age. Influenced by Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J and EPMD, whenever he began rapping a crowd would always form around him in anticipation for his next hot line. While hanging out and rapping with the older cats he was given the name NEPH which later became the acronym, Neva Ever Playa Hate. As he got older and time got rough, N.E.P.H got on his grind to make ends meet. However, in 1994 he and five other friends, Bojangles, S-Quan, Divine God, Jay Blendz and DJ Q, formed Ameba D. They soon became local celebrities and had regular performances in New Jersey and New York. One of the crowning accomplishments was opening for a Biz Markie Concert. Consequently, after years of performances and mix-tapes, N.E.P.H decided to take his talent further and become a solo artist. N.E.P.H eventually moved to Atlanta to begin a fresh start on pursuing his music career and soon became a member of the hip-hop cover band, Culture Soul. N.E.P.H also put together one of the hottest hip-hop group Supreme Team South. Although he is a member of Culture Soul and Supreme Team South, N.E.P.H still actively pursues solo artist stardom and is building a huge fan base. Therefore, it is very evident that it wont be long before the world chants N.E.P.H.
