The Young Composers Competition, organised by the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, has served for more than 20 years as a springboard for young talent in the Netherlands. The competition, open to talent up to 18 years, has proven its success time and again. What could be better than creating your own music and performing it with world-class musicians in a packed concert hall! The Netherlands Wind Ensemble annually receives submissions from some 150 young composers, with the winners joining the ensemble on stage during the famous New Years Day Concert in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
