DESCRIPTION:
Surgical debridement of a foot wound in foot arch will aid greatly in healing. The wound area is treated with lidocaine to numb the area before treatment.After this procedure a localized bandage and and a full foam wrapping,a special protective foam sock , a special cloth sock a hard cast and then walking boot is applied after this procedure is completed.This debridement technique has been used for decades in wound care. Allowing a wound dressing to proceed from moist to dry, then carefully manually removing the dressing causes a form of non-selective debridement.
