Biography

Natural’s lyrics aren’t memorized nor put to paper like most R&B artists; instead they flow like a Southern Rapper’s. Songs like “She What That Is” show Natural’s affinity for using a Rap rhyme scheme. The lyrics are a poetic display of Natural’s love of Rap music. His lyrics are original – they come from the heart and are meant to capture others hearts and minds. Natural uses music to uplift those in the struggle – whether it’s work, relationships or just every day street life.

Natural, born Deondre White on December 22, 1985, is an R&B singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas. At the age of two, his mother noticed his “natural” affinity for music. She was an avid music lover, often singing around the house and a member of a gospel group. Natural didn’t sing in the church choir, although his first public performance was in church at the age of nine. No formal lessons were in his future, however due to an unstable home life. Constant moving throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area forced him to hone his craft by call and response and repetition knowing a time would come when he’d display his skills on a larger stage.

Natural was closer to reaching this dream when he met Ron “Mista Roe” Ellis during the early part of 2000. They formed a group, 214 Rush, and began performing in venues throughout Texas and Louisiana. The first single, “Party”, was in medium to heavy rotation in Dallas clubs and local radio in Shreveport, LA. By 2003, it seemed Natural’s dream had come true. There were several offers from record labels, however a deal was never signed due to differences among the group members. Natural left the group in 2004 and began a solo career.

Natural spends the majority of his time in the studio. He’s worked with producer Jai, the man behind Diddy's hit, "Come to me" as well as Young Nick, a Dallas promoter and MC. Through these contacts he opened for artists such as: Lil’ Boosie, Pimp C, Lil’ Keke, Monica, Rick Ross, Dorrough, Juvenile, Lil’ Flip, Tum Tum, Lil’ Webbie, Ricochet, Trapstarz and Plies. His vocals can be heard on “Put Me in the Pink” (DJ Drop with Definition DJ’s feat. Natural), “You Hear Me” (Willie C feat. Natural), “Dallas Intro” (Cat Daddy K104 feat. Natural), and various mix tapes from Trapstarz, Lil’ Man, Lil’ Duce to Ricochet. The networking paid off. It helped to build a large underground following for Natural’s music in markets such as New York, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Orlando, New Orleans, Sacramento, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Natural remains active in the Dallas Rap scene.
