Born June 9, 1984 In Oak Cliff, Texas, Ricochet came into the world a energetic being. in His mother was a house wife to his father who worked at a production plant off of Interstate 45 called Proctor & Gamble. The plant eventually closed and Ricochet and his family moved to Galveston Texas where his parents earned their degrees. They moved back to Dallas hoping for better a life and their eyes to the sky.

Ricochet was heavily involved in music and a played the drums throughout his middle/high school career. Although he was a talented musician, trouble seemed to follow him. Although he was a talented musician, Ricochet's patience was thin and was discharged from several schools because of his temper and disobedient behavior. It wasn't until his junior year in high school that he realized his lyrical talent. Never timid and always eager to challenge fellow classmates in freestyle battles, Ricochet was growing and learning how to put words together at a very fast rate.

After high school he decided to pursue his dream of being an emcee even though his parents weren't too enthusiastic. They wanted him to get a degree in the medical field but music flowed within him. He left home to pursue his dream but the true struggles in life made it harder to survive than he could have ever imagined. Dealing with many fake and fraud businessmen and women, Ricochet also witnessed the dirtier side of the rap game in 2003. He then decided to go out and place the fate of his career in his own hands. Known by many nick names, he struggled to find his own identity that expressed his energy and talent.

Running into a DJ/Producer named Junebugg he recorded with him and noticed that the energy he brought forth consumed others around him. His energetic, semi-automatic flow grabbed him one day in the booth and it called out Ricochet. The energy he possesses bounces off of him into and through his audience of fans and they have no choice but to pick up on his vibe. After recording with DJ Junebugg, Ricochet decided to become a full fledged solo artist and to make his own path.

Having his first child made him grind and hustle harder and the streets called him to do its bidding. Hustling for a better life, Ricochet promised himself he would never go back down the road he'd seen so many of his friends go down. He kept God as his protector and in April of 2006 his barber Toronto "Showtyme" Patterson introduced him to Reese Robinson (CEO DST RECORDS). Anxious to meet Ricochet, Reese was amazed by his talent and humbleness. He also was surprised to see how hungry someone so young could be. On March 13, 2006 Ricochet signed to DST Records knowing the time had come for him to shine. But eight days later, he lost one of his best friends to a fatal shooting and vowed to succeed on his behalf. This motivated him to be successful regardless of the obstacles he faced and to also succeed on his friend's behalf.

Two years later Ricochet left DST Records due to lack of promotion of his hit single "We Choppin' Blades" and unstable business decisions.

Fast forward. It is now 2009 and Ricochet has come back strong with energy and a hot new single "Clean As A Whistle" and "Miss Runway"- Featuring Dorrough (Ice Cream Paint Job). Solid club bangers with substance is just one of the many hits to come in the near future for this young artist on the rise.
