Coming from a small town community where addiction and alcoholism can be very visible, this song really struck me when I first heard it. I wanted to sing it and share it. Mary Gauthier is a songwriting genius and also a fascinating live performer.

The Strombo Show presented an International Women's Day Special on Sunday, March 5 on CBC Radio 2. I was invited discuss International Women's Day with Strombo and perform a cover of an influential female songwriter. My band and I decided to cover Mary Gauthier's song, "I Drink".
