Lyrics:

Welcome class. Today I’ll be your Biology teacher and I would like to teach everyone how to sing the Form 4 Chapter 3 syllabus using the melody of “Troublemaker” by Hyuna and JS. This badass instrumental version is produced by I5cream (ice cream). Now, lend me your ear.
The plasma membrane has 3 components
First one is phospholipid bilayer
Has hydrophilic head
And hydrophobic tail
It forms dynamic flexible structure

We gotta describe plasma membrane it’s semi permeable
Fat soluble and small molecule will pass through it unaided
Water soluble and ions aided by the carrier
Fluid mosaic model a.k.a Membrane structure

Membrane structure

Diffusion makes molecules move down concentration gradient
Its rate depends on the surface area and concentration
The carrier protein gotta change shape to move the material
The pore protein has a little channel that open for them

The active transport different from others
Moving against concentration gradient
Requires energy ATP to function
It is needed to function nerves and muscles

Living cell absorb water, nutrient
Excrete waste and change gases
It needs to maintain pH value and ions' concentration
Eliminate the waste products and secrete useful substances
Movement of the substance across the membrane structure

Membrane structure

Osmosis water diffusion down concentration gradient
Hypo is when outside of cell has more water hyper you gotta translate it backward

Hypotonic draws in the water
Causing cell turgid and burst
Hypertonic draws out the water
Causing flaccid, crenation
Isotonic is when inside
Outside same concentration
There's no (net) water movement across the membrane structure
