DESCRIPTION:
Lawy is back in his first full-length solo release. Having first heard of him in Diverse System's DVSP-0000 in "Cold Ocean," I fell in love completely with his sounds. His melodies have a flair to them, are unique, and, if you pardon me here, hit the right notes. Here, we have a melodic riff characterized by high-pitched sounds with no bass that is sure to be heard using any kind of audio equipment. Then, the low bassline comes in, bringing the previous riff with it 64 bars later, until concluding with the main melody, which is characterized by an airy, flute-like instrument that is refreshing and a surprise to my ears. Lyuga is my favorite track of this release, but it was not easy to come to this conclusion. 21 and Suzaku are excellent as well.
