My Own Religion are a four piece, ska-metal-core punk band from Glasgow/Edinburgh Scotland. The band first formed in 2001 and spent two years playing gigs across Scotland, alongside bands such as Leftover Crack, Antimaniax, Big D and the Kids Table, The foamers, Five Knuckle and The Filaments, among others, embarking on the Buckfest tour with bretheren band Misled Youth, before spontaneously imploding in the later months of 2003. During these two years the band recorded a demo cd, "Honk if you love Satan" and a 9 track EP " Even The Score", tracks from which appeared on the "Riot Ska" and "Punk Rock Scotland" compilations. The band reformed in 06 with new member Cock Rock Rosco, recorded a few new tracks, toured Ireland and Northern Ireland with The Something Somethings, joined up with Pumpkin Records, branched into side projects releasing the "Digital Cacophony of Global Decay" EP on Special Records under the name Cot Death and doing a few rave shows. 09 sees the recordin of another 6 tracks forthcoming on Pumpkin Records, and with the departure of our bassist Lenin to the US for the forseeable future, leaves us cowering in the dark shadow of another hiatus looming into 2010. Still, MOR never dies. Just rots a little! There will be more Im sure of it, but when. who knows!
