[subbed] Dir en grey - Mushi - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 15, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
"-mushi-" - "Insect"

I took this opportunity of my old account being gone now to finally re-translate this song.

Notes:
1) The kanji ' 蟲' ('mushi') stands for worms as well as for insects. It might refer to the way the protagonist feels - worthless, disgusting, like an insect.

2) This song is most likely from the point of view of a woman. The narrator refers to themself as "私 - watashi", which is mostly used by women.

3) This is the live from the Blitz 5Days DVD. It's very emotional. I've subtitled the unsung words anyway - maybe to show why Kyo couldn't sing them live.

Please, guys, try to remember to cut down on the flames and the rumors on this video.

~This is my translation.

-EDIT: June 2017-
I was thinking of re-subbing this, because the quality is so low. But then decided that I won't. The translation is still fine, so there's no need to, right?

Additional note:
"私心" - Kyo sings "watashi kokoro" - "my own heart". However, "私心" can also be read as "shishin", which then stands for "selfishness". This gives this sentence another interesting layer... "What killed me was my own selfishness".
