"How I've Grown"



And when I screamed;

I screamed up high and low;

"Father, Let me live!"



And, then they looked at me;

And then they screamed at me;

High and low, stating their cause;

Saying out loud to me,

"You're not the one!!"



My head bowed; My heart fallen;

My world died- the weeds that once were my life; wiltered and scattered.



And then, I thrusted my efforts;

And I tried at my finest;

My feet bloodied; my soul bruised;

I picked myself up once again;

I looked up



And I screamed and hailed towards the sky again,

"Father let me live!! Relieve me from my strife!!"



The rest, then, looked on and hummed in unison;

"You're not the one."



And the sorrow in me grew strongeronce more.
